I need a change in my life. I decided this change is going to start in my closet. I realized that I have way too many clothes that I do not wear. I bought a box of garbage bags, lets hope that I do not fill them all up with clothes. I am going to sort through all of my clothes and see what I can do without. I am letting all of my girlfriends go through everything that I am getting rid of. Whatever they aren’t taking is going straight to The Salvation Army. Once I am done cleaning out all of the old clothes I am going to purchase a closet organizer to put what clothes I have left in. Hopefully this organizer will keep my closet clean so I can find what I want when I want it. I am very ready to start this new chapter in my life. I am not minimizing this to just my closet. I am going to start working out, saving money, and drinking less. I believe that the saving money part will go hand in hand with the drinking less part I need to grow up and it is all starting with my closet. Wish me luck.

EXISTING TECHNOLOGY

Ever since Lasik eye surgery technology was developed, it has become a very popular procedure to have. Anyone who is able to opts to go and have it done, thus eliminating any need for ever having to deal with contact lenses or eyeglasses again. Unfortunately, a large population of people are unable to risk having this surgery because of the potential for severe complications. Most of us will have to just stick to old fashioned eyewear to correct our vision; at least until hopefully there are more Lasik advances. Luckily there’s no reason to think that this is as far as the technology and inventions are going to go in this field. The fact that Lasik technology exists at all is a pretty incredible thing. There’s not really that much information out there about what the progress is on this type of research, but every year there are studies and tests done to try and advance vision correction technology. Hopefully we’ll all see the next stage of Lasik advances in our lifetime; if not, I’m sure that by the time the next generation comes around there will be a great deal more options when it comes to vision correction surgery.

EXTRA LEVEL OF COMFORT

The move to my new apartment has had me considering getting an alarm system and all of the wireless alarm benefits. It is not that we live in the worst of neighborhoods or anything like that. It is really more that I have some nice things that I would like to protect while I am not at home. I do not think there are many things that would make me feel more violated than knowing that somebody had gained access to my home and rummaged through my things. It is also weird sometimes being alone in your own place, so turning the alarm on at night would be an extra level of comfort, or security blanket, if you are in to bad puns. It has really been nice having my own place though. There are certain things I am starting to notice about living alone, some are good, and some are bad. I really enjoy the freedom and independence of being on my own. On the other hand, there are times where I will realize that I have not spoken or made a noise in hours. Or sometimes I will feel stupid for laughing at loud at something on television all by myself.

GRANDPA'S BALD

My Grandmother, who loves to tell stories of her home remedies, began telling another story about my Grandfather when he started losing his hair, where her remedies did no good. Grandfather didn’t seem to notice the hair loss. He would brush and groom it just like he did when he was younger with a thick head of hair. He would look in the mirror and comment on how great his hair was holding out, for a man his age. Problem was, he had progressed to where he had little to none left, just some around the edges. Gram says she was told by his doctor that he had something called Androgenetic alopecia. My Grandfather says it’s the natural way of things. Gram says yes, especially in our family. All the men eventually end up looking like my Grandfather when it comes to their heads. I didn’t know how true this was until we had our family reunion. It seems most of our relatives, even some of my aunts, had some issues holding on to their hair. Even some of my cousins, who are around my age, were beginning to show signs of losing their hair, and it seemed to all start at their temples. The pictures we took sure left no doubt that we are all related!
