The move to my new apartment has had me considering getting an alarm system and all of the wireless alarm benefits.  It is not that we live in the worst of neighborhoods or anything like that.  It is really more that I have some nice things that I would like to protect while I am not at home.  I do not think there are many things that would make me feel more violated than knowing that somebody had gained access to my home and rummaged through my things.  It is also weird sometimes being alone in your own place, so turning the alarm on at night would be an extra level of comfort, or security blanket, if you are in to bad puns.  It has really been nice having my own place though.  There are certain things I am starting to notice about living alone, some are good, and some are bad.  I really enjoy the freedom and independence of being on my own.  On the other hand, there are times where I will realize that I have not spoken or made a noise in hours.  Or sometimes I will feel stupid for laughing at loud at something on television all by myself.
